The Opportunity:

Join Symcor as a Developer 1 to assist with the design, development, and implementation of various software application solutions at Symcor. The opportunity will allow for but is not limited to enterprise application, Cloud development, web application, and database application development.

This is a hybrid role with requirements to be on site 3 days a week, providing a balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration.

About The Role:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to set up development environments and build applications.
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of applications, working with technologies like Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and PowerShell.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product issues, including data transformations and integrations with third-party services.
  • Document business rules and development requirements.
  • Support technology communication, including meeting coordination and presentation creation.
  • Participate in brainstorming and innovation sessions to find solutions or capitalize on opportunities.
  • Assist in creating proofs of concept to test solutions with stakeholders.
  • Ensure automated tests validate application correctness.

What You Need to Succeed:

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Solid foundation in software development, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with Node.js, PowerShell, and PowerBI
  • Understanding of secure coding best practices and requirements gathering.
  • Experience with front-end technologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, OpenAPI, relational/NoSQL databases, and Azure development.
  • Experience with IT ticketing tools (ITSM) and MS Office (O365).
