The Opportunity:


Provides overall management of one or more programs depending on the complexity and size of program. Ensures the delivery of business and client objectives based on the program within required timeframes and budget, and in accordance with Symcor policies and procedures. Manages the program budget, timeline and resources.

This is a hybrid role with flexible onsite expectations, typically up to 2 days per week. New employees are expected to be onsite 2 to 3 times a week during their first three months to support onboarding and collaboration.

About The Role:

  • Oversee management of two or more projects within a program, including managing larger, complex internal or external projects, strategic initiatives, new products or services. Ensure specification, timelines, budget and scope requirements are met, and that the proper methodology is followed. For Client-facing programs, work with Client Relations and be the face of the program, supporting the client in terms of questions.
  • Oversee and ensure program level reporting is conducted in accordance with Symcor standards and timelines, including ensuring PM’s complete and submit weekly Project Status Reports (PSR) to the EPO, conducting program steering committee meetings to provide update regarding health of active projects within the program, and providing program/project updates to clients, and other status updates, as requested, in support of executive reporting.
  • Ensure that project managers/PCOs within the program maintain an up-to-date view of the project resource plan, including highlighting any areas of concerns, and the impact to project deliverables to ensure timelines and budget requirements are met. Monitor and adjust program resource plan and schedule as required.
  • Work closely with Front Office Technical Consultant to ensure due diligence activities and outcomes are documented and in line with the program business objectives at the beginning of each project.

What You Need to Succeed:

Education:

  • College diploma or undergraduate university degree in a related discipline or a combination of experience, education and/or training deemed to be equivalent.
  • PMP/PRINCE2 or PgMP Designation is required if experience as a Program Manager is less than 4 years or Senior Project Manager is less than 5 years.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of Project Management experience with demonstrable results.
  • 2+ years of Program Management experience working on programs or 5+ years of Project Management experience as a Senior Project Manager working on programs/projects in excess $1,000,000.
  • Experience with program/project team sizes ranging from 10 to 50 individuals.
  • Expert knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s approach to Project Management or equivalent.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s approach to Program Management or equivalent.
