Our Truck Drivers are the vital link to our independent Dealers and their stores – providing that valuable connection that ensures we deliver the industry-leading home improvement experience our customers expect. Led by the Dispatch Supervisor, this opportunity will suit someone who is an experienced truck driver with a track record of delivering on time, safely, and with a customer-oriented mindset.

Ready to make an impact? Here’s how:

• Building relationships with our independent Dealers as an ambassador for Home Hardware Stores Limited.
• Loading Dealer returns for transport to the Distribution Centre.
• Complying with all government regulations described in the professional Driver’s Manual.
• Operating vehicles in a safe and professional manner, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and inspecting the vehicle and trailer to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Completing and delivering all necessary paperwork using on-board technology as required, along with light computer work and data entry.

We’re looking for:

• Class 1 driver’s license with Q Endorsement with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
• High school diploma.
• Mountain driving experience.
• 2-3 years of similar experience preferred with a good safety record. B-Train experience would be an asset.
• Ability to carry out deliveries throughout Western Canada and Ontario.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, superior customer service and communication skills.

• Typically, drivers in this role earn between $80,000 and $130,000 annually.
• Earnings are based on a combination of per-kilometre rates, pick-up and delivery fees, flat-rate allowances, hourly rate for downtime or wait time, and other work-related pay components.
