Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for a strong writer and communicator to join Rogers Brand and Communications team. Reporting to the Director, Communications, Residential and Frontline, you will deliver business critical and business-as-usual communications, collaboratively with experts across the company.

If you are an experienced communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and loves finding new ways to deliver strategic communications to internal and external audiences, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver strategic external and internal communications programs for the Residential organization that builds internal engagement and supports corporate reputation
  • Work closely with brand and marketing to develop and execute integrated communications plans, incorporating earned, owned and paid channels
  • Represent communications on key cross-functional teams and projects requiring issues or reputation management support
  • Identify and manage issues and develop statements, background briefs and talking points
  • Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Help build employee engagement through internal communications programs that include town halls and HR and change management communications
  • Build and maintain well-established relationships within the organization
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of communications programs with key audiences
  • You will work cross functionally with Residential product and marketing leaders and teams, Brand and creative teams and legal and regulatory operational teams.

What you bring:

  • 7+ years’ experience in communications, ideally in corporate, third party, brand and marketing and/or product roles.
  • Results-driven, collaborative team member with experience in communications or equivalent fields
  • Creative-thinker who brings fresh ideas to the table
  • Passionate storyteller with a proven track record of delivering proactive and reactive communications plans
  • Self-motivated team player who can manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a highly matrixed environment
  • University degree and/or diploma in communications, public relations or journalism.
