We are looking for an Agile Tools Integration Intern to join the Agile Practice team and support critical initiatives around tool standardization and systems integration within our agile framework. This internship will provide hands-on experience with Jira Cloud, Planview AgilePlace, and ServiceNow, offering you an opportunity to work on automation, integration, and process optimization in a collaborative, agile environment. This role is ideal for someone interested in IT systems, agile methodologies, and operational efficiency.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Assisting in configuring and standardizing Jira Cloud usage across teams and squads to ensure consistent tracking, reporting, and workflow management.

  • Documenting best practices for issue types, workflows, and board configurations to streamline adoption across the organization.

  • Supporting the integration of Jira Cloud with Planview AgilePlace and ServiceNow, focusing on creating a seamless flow of information across platforms to enhance cross-functional visibility and collaboration.

  • Collaborating with IT and functional teams to troubleshoot integration challenges, ensuring data accuracy and synchronization between systems.

  • Developing and maintaining automated workflows to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.

  • Creating and updating documentation detailing the integration processes, configuration steps, and troubleshooting guidelines.

  • Assisting in training sessions or user guides to support team members in effectively utilizing the integrated tools.

  • Gathering user feedback to identify areas for improvement and document any recurring issues or required adjustments.

  • Participating in testing phases for integrations and configurations, identifying and resolving any inconsistencies or bugs.

  • Monitoring integrated tools to ensure they function reliably, flagging potential issues proactively to minimize disruptions.

  • Working on improvements based on feedback from cross-functional teams to optimize tool usage.

  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Project Management, and Agile Coaches, to support smooth onboarding to the integrated system.

  • Contributing to agile ceremonies as needed, supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions to understand and refine integration requirements.

  • You are studying Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related area of study

  • Familiarity and understanding of product delivery and how the backend of a product is built and works

  • An appreciation for cross-team collaboration. You are flexible and open to the ideas of others.3-4 years of hands-on experience as a Process Engineer/Management Consultant with the ability to solve issues and coordinate across teams.

  • Basic familiarity with IT or project management tools, with a strong willingness and ability to learn new software like Jira, Planview, and ServiceNow.

  • Comfort with navigating and understanding software configurations and cloud-based systems.

  • High level of precision in handling data, configuring tools, and documenting processes, as integration tasks require accuracy to prevent errors in data flow and reporting.

  • Strong written and verbal skills for effectively communicating with cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity in instructions and feedback.

  • Open to learning agile principles and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.

  • Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:

    • Direct experience with Jira, Planview or ServiceNow would allow for a quicker start, but is not necessary if the candidate is comfortable learning new software.

    • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python or JavaScript) or automation tools (like Power Automate) can be helpful for creating automations or integrations, though it’s not essential.

    • Basic knowledge of agile frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, is a plus, as it would support a smoother onboarding to an agile environment.

    • Any experience with data integration concepts, API usage, or data flow between systems would be beneficial in understanding integrations between tools.

    • Familiarity with basic project management concepts or tools can help in understanding workflows and reporting needs across teams.

    • Any background in customer service, tech support, or end-user training can be advantageous for understanding end-user needs and troubleshooting issues

Term: January to April 2025

Working Days: Monday - Friday
