The Strategic Sourcing Leader has a strategic leadership position with a primary focus on overseeing and optimizing Interac’s sourcing and procurement activities. You will provide strategic direction and leadership for the strategic sourcing function, develop a clear strategic souring strategy aligned to Interac’s goals, ensure sourcing initiatives contribute to the overall success and competitiveness and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
You’ll be responsible for:
Leading and empowering the team to achieve its goals, while offering strategic direction.
Developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans aligned to Interac’s objectives, assessing Interac’s sourcing needs and objectives and ensuring integration with overall corporate strategy and objectives.
Driving cost savings and operational efficiency through strategic sourcing practices.
Leading new vendor negotiations to ensure Interac is obtaining the best deals possible, identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating favorable terms, implementing efficiency initiatives within sourcing processes, and evaluating and optimizing total cost of ownership for products/services.
Overseeing new vendor relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives.
You bring:
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
Payment/fintech knowledge (Interac products, platforms, corporate strategy).
The ability to envision and communicate long-term vision for strategic sourcing within Interac, ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with Interac’s goals.
The ability to make strategic decisions based on data and insights.
Proven experience in negotiating favorable terms with vendors to drive value, achieve cost savings, and structure contracts to align with Interac’s goals.
A strong background in conducting cost analyses and evaluating total cost of ownership for products/services with the skills to drive cost savings.
The ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to foster positive and productive relationships.
Strong ability to influence decision-makers and stakeholders.
The ability to lead and manage change within the sourcing function as Interac evolves in the Agile work model.
The skills to foster a culture of continuous improvement and look for opportunities to generate improvement.
