Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Software Change Manager (SCM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support application migration projects utilizing IBM’s DBB/Git/IDD Solutions. The SME will play a key role in guiding clients through the Endevor (and other SCMs) DBB/GIT/IDD conversion process, providing technical expertise, hands-on migration support, and training delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong z/OS and mainframe background, experience in application development or system programming, and proven customer interfacing and troubleshooting skills within migration environments.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Articulate strategic vision for modernizing to IBM's Git/DBB solution with clear business benefits
  • Architect DevOps pipeline using Git, IBM DBB for intelligent mainframe builds, and automated deployment
  • Assess current legacy SCM workflows and design migration path to Git with IBM DBB
  • Lead and support SCMs to DBB/GIT/IDD migration projects.
  • Perform installation, configuration, and problem determination for DBB/GIT/IDD on customer systems.
  • Analyze, convert, and validate Endevor applications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting DBB/GIT/IDD related issues.
  • Conduct customer training sessions and develop presentation materials for DBB/Git/IDD and migration processes.
  • Collaborate with IBM teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Document migration processes, best practices, and technical resolutions.

Required education
Master's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

Clear, concise communications Skills

· Ability to articulate the Git/DBB Lifecycle.

· Strong Application Development or System Programmer background.

· Proven installation and migration experience on IBM z/OS and USS.

· Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.

· Solid problem determination and troubleshooting ability related to Git/DBB/IDD/Wazi.

· Proficiency in the following:

· YAML / Groovy Scripts

· GIT experience

· Repos

· Pipeline – ability to debug what pipeline/builds failed

· Branching

· DBB

· IDD/Wazi Deployment

Training & Knowledge Transfer

· Ability to conduct DBB/Git/IDD/Wazi training sessions.

· Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations using Microsoft Word and other standard tools.

· Ability to assist clients in diagnosing and fixing conversion-related errors.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience

· 8 + years as a Systems Programmer or other similar position

· 4+ years customer facing consulting experience

· Development, application lifecycle or change management experience is a plus

Preferred Attributes

· Strong analytical and organizational skills.

· Hands-on experience in mainframe modernization, SCM, DBB/GIT/IDD.

· Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a global team.
