Your role and responsibilities

IBM Technology Expert Labs – India Centre of Excellence (CoE) is seeking an associate Delivery Consultant – MAS & OpenShift to join our Expertise Connect (EC) delivery team.

In this role, you will support the deployment, configuration, and day‑to‑day operations of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) running on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP). The position is ideal for candidates with hands‑on OpenShift and Kubernetes knowledge who want to build deep expertise in MAS, cloud‑native platforms, and SaaS delivery models.

You will work under guidance of senior SMEs and architects while gaining exposure to real client environments, global delivery standards, and Expert Labs engagement models.

A hands‑on OpenShift / Kubernetes practitioner with strong fundamentals

Eager to learn IBM MAS, EAM domain concepts, and cloud-native architectures

Comfortable working in customer-facing delivery environments with guidance

Proactive, detail‑oriented, and keen on building troubleshooting expertise

A team player who collaborates effectively with global teams

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

· 2–6 years of overall industry experience and 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with:

• OpenShift (RHOCP) or Kubernetes platforms

• Containerised application deployment and support

· Exposure to cloud or SaaS environments is desirable

· Basic understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) concepts is a plus

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

· Hands‑on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP):

· Working knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals: Pod lifecycle - Deployments and services

· Configure and maintain OpenShift infrastructure components such as nodes, networking, storage, and security.

· Monitor cluster health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations

· Experience with Docker / container images

· Experience with basic troubleshooting of application and platform‑level issues under guidance

· Working knowledge of UNIX / Linux operating systems

· Exposure to multi‑environment setups - Dev, Test, Pre‑Prod, Production

· Familiarity with full software development life cycle (SDLC): Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Deploying, Training, Maintaining and Operational Support.

· Familiarity with incident response and support processes

· Basic exposure to one or more cloud platforms

· Awareness of Cloud‑native application architecture, high availability and scalability concepts

· Exposure to IBM Maximo or Maximo Application Suite (MAS) MAS Manage/High level MAS Architecture is a plus

General skills

· Strong learning mindset and willingness to upskill

· Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities

· Clear written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to follow delivery processes and standards

· Ownership mindset for assigned tasks

· Strong team collaboration skills

· Willingness to work across global time zones as needed

Preferred technical and professional experience

Experience with any of the below are highly desirable:-

· OpenShift certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration).

· Familiarity with DevOps and SRE principles

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git‑based workflows etc

· Familiar with Application Performance Monitoring.
