Your role and responsibilities

We are in search of a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our expanding team of experts. This role will be pivotal in the design and development of Snowflake Data Cloud solutions, encompassing responsibilities such as constructing data ingestion pipelines, establishing sound data architecture, and implementing stringent data governance and security protocols.

The ideal candidate brings experience as a proficient data pipeline builder and adept data wrangler, deriving satisfaction from optimizing data systems from their foundational stages. Collaborating closely with database architects, data analysts, and data scientists, the Senior Data Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring a consistent and optimal data delivery architecture across ongoing customer projects.

This position demands a self-directed individual comfortable navigating the diverse data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. Required technical and professional expertise
  • 5+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering with hands-on platform implementation experience
  • Expert-level Snowflake knowledge: warehouses, clustering, RBAC, performance optimization, Streams, Tasks, and external volumes
  • Proficiency in dbt (Core or Cloud) for data transformation, modeling, testing, and CI/CD integration; strong SQL and Python development skills
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) for data platforms on Snowflake
  • Strong fundamentals in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including object storage, compute, IAM, and networking; version control (GitLab CI/CD) in production environments

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Snowflake SnowPro certification or equivalent cloud platform certification (AWS Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, GCP Professional)
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to best practices and architecture decisions
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform) for Snowflake and cloud resource management
