The Sales Coach role is an integral part of IBM’s award-winning Global Sales School. Your goal is to create outstanding employee experiences for IBMers through coaching services and support early in their career. By building foundational sales skills, new sellers are better prepared for client interactions and success. Your role and responsibilities

The Learning Sales Coach provides individual and group sales coaching for IBM new sellers attending the 2-week IBM Global Sales School program. They leverage personal and recent sales experience in IBM to develop sales skills and enhance the learning for sales trainees. They play the role of the client in practice call scenarios and provide constructive and meaningful feedback to new sellers in a consistent manner, using standard IBM Learning content and grading methods, as per the learning objectives of the program. Additionally, they facilitate and teach various learning activities designed for the program to deepen new seller understanding of sales methodologies.

The Sales Coach role is part-time, hourly Supplemental Employment. Workload and hours will fluctuate based on volumes of new seller hiring. Most training and coaching will happen virtually using MS Teams, while some classroom delivery will occur in Austin, Texas. The Sales Coach must be local to Austin, Texas. Some travel may be necessary, although infrequent.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

· Strong and recent knowledge of the Technology and IT Services industry.

· Recent work experience as a Seller or Sales Leader, as a Sales Coach, Sales Trainer or similar role, preferably at IBM and within the last 5 years.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate people.

· Sales Leadership experience, preferably at IBM.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Exposure to Learning Analytics: Familiarity with tracking learning completions, managing class administration, and analyzing data to optimize learning delivery.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

· Spanish and/or Portuguese Language Skills are a plus.

· Current knowledge on Generative AI Technology is a plus.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
