Your Role and Responsibilities:

The IBM Storage Content Developer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and maintenance of technical training content focused on IBM Storage solutions. This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle for learning assets such as digital or classroom courses, including content research, authoring, lab testing, publishing, and ongoing course updates and support.

The successful candidate will create technical education materials for clients, business partners, and internal technical audiences. Deliverables may include instructor-led training, hands-on labs, demonstrations, and self-paced enablement content across a range of IBM Storage products and related technologies.

This role also supports Storage environments on the IBM Remote Lab Platform (IRLP). Responsibilities include assisting with lab configuration and provisioning, troubleshooting course environment issues, supporting instructors during delivery when technical issues arise, and contributing to scripting and automation for class setup, including Day 1 class provisioning activities.

The ideal candidate combines strong IBM Storage technical skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into effective training content and hands-on lab experiences. This role requires technical depth, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure successful content delivery and lab readiness.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Experience developing technical training content for infrastructure technologies, including hands-on labs and lecture-based materials
  • Knowledge of IBM Storage products and solutions, such as IBM FlashSystems, Storage Virtualize, IBM Storage Scale System, IBM Storage Protect, IBM Storage on cloud, SAN switches/directors, and related technologies
  • Ability to install, configure, and support software and operating systems on enterprise servers
  • Experience troubleshooting issues affecting course delivery, lab environments, or technical content
  • Familiarity with digital content development tools and platforms
  • Knowledge of markup languages such as HTML
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, data center technologies, and technical implementation environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience with Windows, Linux and/or AIX
  • Experience with storage virtualization, cloud technologies, automation, or DevOps practices
  • Technical writing, documentation, or instructional design experience
  • Basic scripting experience using Bash, Python, or similar languages
  • Experience with remote lab provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical teams
  • Knowledge of IBM Infrastructure (Storage, Z and Power) products and services is a plus
