Your role and responsibilities

As a Red Hat Digital Technical Specialist (Account Solution Architect), you will be passionate about understanding what drives success for customers across many varied industries; have an ability to translate this into a technical solution; clearly articulate the business value to the customer; and collaborate to effectively prove how our market-leading software solutions provide benefit and solve business challenges.

You will specialize in Red Hat Solutions. You will collaborate with the Sales and Partner Ecosystem teams to discover the customer’s business and technical objectives and help them invest in the right solutions from the Red Hat and Partner Ecosystem portfolio.

You’ll be expected to handle a range of customer conversations, from introductory discussions on our solutions to mapping architectural and technical details specific to the customer’s environment. As the Red Hat Digital Technical Specialist (Account Solution Architect), you will coordinate the efforts of other Red Hat technical staff to design solutions and ensure customer adoption and satisfaction. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, as you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. Finally, you’ll want to have a passion for open source, and a balance of technical expertise with business acumen.

What You Will Do:

● Gain an in-depth understanding of our customers' business goals, technical objectives and IT environments.

● Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success and Partner Ecosystem teams to assess the potential application of Red Hat and Partner solutions.

● Provide pre-sales technical leadership for the development and implementation of complex solutions and services.

● Develop strategic relationships with our customers to become a trusted advisor.

● Deliver proof of value to our customers and partners through presentations, demonstrations, workshops and pilot projects.

● Research and write the responses to technical sections of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.

● Coordinate the technical efforts of other Red Hat resources like Product Specialists, Support and Professional Services.

● Deliver compelling recommendations that result in the closing of new sales.

● Own and meet a Technical Win quota and perform regular reviews and reports about the opportunities you are working on.

● Share your expertise by contributing to documentation (e.g., wikis, quick-start guides, blog posts and white papers), developing reusable assets (e.g., demonstrations, workshops) and presenting at customer events.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Pre-sales, consulting, IT architecture or equivalent experience in support of enterprise accounts.
  • Integration, development, or administration experience with UNIX and Linux systems.
  • Skilled in presenting to small and large groups of mixed audiences, including business, technical, management and leadership teams.
  • Experienced in developing relationships at engineering, commercial and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations.
  • Experienced with modern and emerging technologies including public and private cloud, container orchestration and management, automation and configuration management, DevSecOps and CI/CD, and modern application frameworks.
  • Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures.
  • Collaboration with others and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Italian and English languages are required.
Preferred technical and professional experience

• Advanced Red Hat Certifications: Exposure to advanced certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) can be beneficial in this role.

• Cloud Computing Knowledge: Experience working with cloud computing platforms, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments, can be advantageous in delivering Red Hat solutions.
