Introduction

The Cybersecurity Solution Design Global Department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
professional to join our team as a Solution Consultant / Technical Solution Manager (SC/TSM)
in the field of IT Security.
This role is ideal for experienced Engineer, Architect or Consultant with a strong background
in designing comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to analyze technical documentation, understand
customer expectations, and translate business requirements into technically and financially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, sales teams, and clients to design tailored cybersecurity solutions.
- Analyze customer requirements and develop high-level and detailed technical designs.
- Prepare and deliver key technical documentation, including:
- Technical Solution Documents (TSD/iSBD)
- Statements of Work (SoW)
- Service Designs
- Detailed cost estimations
- Provide expert guidance on solution implementation, including:
- Infrastructure and labor sizing
- Hardware and software selection
- Deployment strategies and systems integration
- Stay current with cross industry-trends, emerging technologies, and the evolving cybersecurity
landscape – especially in the era of Generative AI.

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Security Solution Design Consultant, you will support engagement pursuit teams in complex, multi-tower, cross-line of business, and international bids, bringing subject matter expertise to deliver an integrated solution. You will establish the foundation of the integrated solutions design and own the definition of the integrated technical solution. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Define Integrated Solutions: Develop complex, competitive, winning, integrated solutions that meet client needs, leveraging accepted offerings and methods or creating new ones where necessary. • Collaborate with Clients and Internal Resources: Manage the team and work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless solution delivery and sales support. • Own Technical Solution Definition: Establish and maintain the definition of the integrated technical solution, ensuring its alignment with client requirements and business objectives. • Support Sales Efforts: Directly support sales efforts with clients, presenting and promoting the value of integrated solutions. • Lead Solution Design Teams: Manage and guide teams in the development of integrated solutions, fostering a collaborative environment and driving results.

Required technical and professional expertise

Proven experience in High Level Design (HLD) of IT Security solutions;
- Ability to design solutions from the ground up, including sizing and cost estimation
- Pre-sales experience, including collaboration with sales teams, partners and clients.
- Readiness to work under time pressure and be able to adjust quickly to architecture or project change;
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with a business-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and costing methodologies
- Understanding of outsourcing models and delivery frameworks
- Ability to work independently, and be self-sufficient to organize work according to schedule;
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, global team environment
- Willingness to travel up to 25% annually;
- Bachelor's Degree;
- English: Fluent (written and spoken)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Security-related Specialist/Designer/Consultant role
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Pre-sales role
- Technical expertise in at least four of the following areas:
- Networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, SDN)
- Managed Security Services
- Consultancy Security Services
- Security products (XDR, SIEM, IDPS, FW, WAF, Endpoint protection, SASE, SOAR)
- Security in the Cloud environments
- AI Security
- Regulatory Compliance
- Physical Security
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Data Encryption
- Business Resiliency

Preferred technical and professional experience

- 5+ years of hands-on experience as Security Engineer or Specialist
- 3+ years of experience in Project Management or Service Delivery
- Demonstrated success in large-scale, complex pre-sales engagements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written fluency in English.
- Advanced knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure
- Experience in Low-Level Design (LLD) and architectural documentation
- Familiarity with the IBM Cybersecurity Portfolio, including Gen AI and Cloud Solutions
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CCNP, AWS, Palo Alto) are a strong advantage
- Proficiency in additional foreign languages is a plus
