Introduction
Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design: - Design end-to-end SAP solution architectures for SAP S/4HANA implementations (greenfield, brownfield, or hybrid) - Establish architectural standards, best practices, and governance frameworks Technical Leadership: - Lead technical design workshops and collaborate with business stakeholders - Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise standards Solution Delivery: - Evaluate and recommend SAP modules and technologies aligned with business requirements - Assess custom vs. standard functionality and minimize customizations - Support proof-of-concepts and technical feasibility assessments

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities
The SAP Application Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements. This role requires deep SAP expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical architectures.

Required technical and professional expertise
Education & Experience: - 10+ years of SAP experience with at least 5 years in architecture roles - Multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects (at least 3 full lifecycle implementations) Technical Skills: - Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture and best practices - Knowledge of multiple SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, WM, etc.) Soft Skills: - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Leadership and team collaboration capabilities - Client-facing experience and stakeholder management
Preferred technical and professional experience
- SAP certifications (SAP S/4HANA, Solution Architect, etc.) - Industry-specific experience (Utilities) - Experience with Agile/SAP Activate methodology
