In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions, working with modern integration technologies and supporting clients in building reliable, scalable, and future‑proof integration landscapes. You will collaborate closely with Senior Consultants and Architects, taking ownership of defined integration components while continuously developing your technical and consulting skills.

This position is designed for a mid‑level Integration Consultant with a strong growth mindset — someone who is hands‑on, delivery‑focused, eager to learn, and ready to deepen expertise.

What You Will Do

Integration Delivery

  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into integration solutions
  • Design and implement system integrations using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and integration platforms
  • Use adapters and connectors (e.g. SAP) to integrate backend systems
  • Implement data mappings, transformations, and service orchestration
  • Work with enterprise data models, XML, and XSD

API & Integration Operations

  • Develop and maintain REST APIs (SOAP as a plus)
  • Support API publication, performance optimization, and monitoring
  • Work in hybrid integration environments (cloud and on‑premises)
  • Support integration operations and troubleshooting together with senior team members

Technical Design & Development

  • Develop Java‑based integration services
  • Use Python or similar languages for supporting or automation‑related tasks
  • Contribute to solution designs under guidance
  • Create and read UML diagrams (class, sequence diagrams)
  • Understand system components and interactions within complex IT landscapes

Consulting & Client Interaction

  • Participate in requirements analysis workshops with clients
  • Advise clients with a solution‑oriented mindset
  • Cooperate closely with client IT teams and internal IBM stakeholders
  • Support pre‑sales and proposal activities with technical input
Your role and responsibilities

The IBM Center of Excellence (CoE) in Krakow is a key delivery and competency hub supporting clients across EMEA. The CoE brings together integration specialists, consultants, and technical experts who share best practices, grow deep technical expertise, and drive high‑quality delivery across complex transformation projects.

Working in CoE Krakow means exposure to enterprise‑scale systems, modern integration technologies, and continuous learning in a collaborative and expert‑driven environment.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Computer Science or
    • Business Informatics or
    • Engineering or
    • Mathematics or
      a related technical field
      or
  • Completed IT technical education with relevant professional experience

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree in a technical or engineering field
  • Relevant certifications in:
    • Integration technologies
    • Enterprise platforms
    • Cloud or middleware solution

Technical Experience

Required

  • Several years of hands‑on experience in integration or enterprise application projects
  • Solid Java programming skills
  • Experience working with integration platforms
  • Understanding of integration architectures
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience with IBM webMethods
  • Exposure to:
    • SAP integrations
    • API management platforms
    • Cloud or hybrid integration scenarios
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and standard development practices
  • German language skills are a big plus
