Your role and responsibilities

As an SAP Technical Solution Architect, you will:

• Own the end‑to‑end technical architecture across SAP BTP, SAP Joule / AI‑enabled SAP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Work Zone, and other emerging SAP technologies.

• Define scalable, secure, and future‑ready SAP architectures aligned with client's enterprise standards, security policies, and long‑term digital roadmap.

• Act as the single point of accountability for technical architecture decisions across programs and initiatives.

• Shape technical solutions during pre‑sales activities, including RFP responses, proposal development, and solution design.

• Lead commercial sizing, effort estimation, and technical input into pricing and cost models.

• Define clear work packages and delivery models optimized for execution through delivery centers.

• Serve as the technical anchor and escalation point for delivery teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Govern architectural integrity by ensuring adherence to approved designs, standards, and best practices.

• Provide early and continuous technical oversight to proactively identify risks, resolve design issues, and reduce delivery and operational risk.

• Support design reviews, quality assurance, and key technical decision points to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

Required technical and professional expertise

Core SAP Technical Expertise

• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA architectures, including clean‑core principles and extensibility strategies.
• Deep expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including:
  • Integration (SAP CPI / Integration Suite)
  • Extension frameworks (CAP, RAP, ABAP Cloud)
  • Event‑driven architectures and API‑based integration patterns.
• Proven experience with SAP Integration Suite, covering SAP and non‑SAP system integrations, APIs, and messaging patterns.
• Solid understanding of SAP Work Zone, Fiori, and user experience architecture within enterprise landscapes.
• Working knowledge of SAP Business AI / Joule‑enabled capabilities, including prerequisites, architectural considerations, and enterprise adoption models.

Cloud, Security, and Enterprise Architecture

• Experience designing and governing scalable, secure, enterprise‑grade SAP architectures aligned to client security and compliance standards.
• Strong understanding of cloud deployment models (RISE with SAP, private cloud, hyperscaler integrations).
• Knowledge of identity, access management, authorization concepts, and secure integration design within SAP landscapes.

Delivery & Architecture Governance

• Proven ability to act as technical authority and design owner across complex SAP programs.
• Experience governing architecture across distributed delivery models, including local and global delivery teams.
• Strong background in design reviews, quality assurance, and architectural compliance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ability to proactively identify technical risks and guide mitigation strategies early in delivery.

Pre‑Sales & Commercial Expertise

• Demonstrated experience supporting RFP responses, proposal development, and solution shaping for SAP programs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into end‑to‑end technical solution designs.
• Experience in effort estimation, sizing, and commercial modelling for SAP programs delivered at scale.

Professional & Consulting Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior client and partner stakeholders.
• Experience working in large, multi‑vendor SAP ecosystems, including close collaboration with SAP and ISVs.
• Ability to balance innovation (AI, BTP, emerging SAP capabilities) with operational stability and delivery pragmatism.
• Consulting mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions, propose alternatives, and drive value‑led outcomes.

• Multi‑Platform Architecture Expertise: Proven ability to design and govern solutions across multiple platforms, seamlessly integrating and operating diverse software packages within complex enterprise landscapes.
