Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organized individual with business and technology consulting experience, combined with project management skills, to implement SaaS solutions for our customers. Engagement Managers own and lead customer engagements and function as integrator between business needs and technology solutions. Your efforts will directly impact the value realized by the customer and the ultimate success of the relationship. This role will work closely with customers and the IBM Apptio Field Delivery team to project manage the deployment and roll out. What you’ll do:Create wildly successful customers
  • Develop effective and productive customer relationships that enables Apptio to become a trusted advisor for our customers’ IT executives.
  • Align client use cases with our Apptio Value Framework. Translate into a business design that aligns to customer needs and project scope, resulting in a successful deployment and adoption of the Apptio solution with customer acknowledged value.
  • Guide the customer operationalise on delivered use cases
Collaborate
  • Work with the product management and development organization to channel client feedback and solutions into future releases of the Apptio product suite.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the company to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion.
Advocate
  • Provide both engagement and TBM leadership to the customer.
  • Provide business acumen for customers and strive to understand the business problem we are solving in order to best deploy the solution and exceed customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate Apptio’s products from a user perspective – be comfortable answering questions and helping the customer visualise their to-be state using Apptio’s solutions.
Project Manage
  • Own and lead multiple, simultaneous customer engagements implementing the Apptio SaaS solution, following Apptio methodology and utilizing project management best practices.
  • Bring your experience managing project team activities and oversee completion of deliverables, managing scope, payment milestones, and ensuring technical success and customer acceptance.
  • Create and update project plans, project governance and status updates
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred education
Master's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

  • Native or fluent German language skills (at least C1), fluency in English.
  • Extensive experience of system implementation or consulting experience with at least five years as a senior consultant or project manager.
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and proven ability to execute against a defined methodology and deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Demonstrated experience with packaged application software implementation practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and ability to translate complex information into simple solution requirements.
  • Experience with data analysis projects.
  • High degree of initiative and flexibility, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • A proven track record of meeting with senior management and executives as the subject matter expert.
  • Experience with MS Project, monday.com, Targetprocess or other project scheduling tools.
Preferred technical and professional experience

  • IT Finance background

  • Specific knowledge and application of IT services and financial management including budgeting, cost allocations, capital expenditure & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application / infrastructure support.

  • Operational knowledge of IT infrastructure domains including data centres, network / communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development & maintenance.
