Your role and responsibilities

As a Delivery Consultant specializing in Expert Labs services for IBM's Power Portfolio, you will provide world-class infrastructure services for clients based on IBM Power servers running its AIX and/or Linux operating system. You will work with IBM clients and partners to deliver tailored solutions utilizing IBM's Power Portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver Infrastructure Solutions: you will apply your technical expertise to ensure high-quality delivery of world-class infrastructure services for clients. In addition to your technical skills, you'll leverage your consultative skills (such as problem solving, communication & service orientation).
  • Implement Expert Labs Services: Apply your knowledge of IBM's Power Portfolio to implement Expert Labs services that meet client needs and expectations.
  • Support Client Systems: Support client systems running AIX and/or Linux operating systems on IBM Power servers, ensuring smooth operation and resolving issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with Clients and Partners: Work closely with clients & partners to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that address real business challenges.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Exposure to AIX and Linux: Familiarity with AIX and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on IBM Power servers.
  • IBM Power Servers: Knowledge of IBM Power server architecture, including hardware and software components, and understanding of their setup and maintenance.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure Services: Exposure to delivering infrastructure services solutions, including designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure for clients.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and prompt-based workflows to research information, draft content, summarize data, troubleshoot problems, accelerate routine tasks or write code.
  • Interact with clients & partners: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, understand their needs, and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, System Engineering or related fields.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • AIX and Linux Troubleshooting: Exposure to advanced troubleshooting techniques for AIX and Linux operating systems on IBM Power servers, including problem determination and resolution.
  • IBM Power Server Optimization: Experience working with IBM Power server optimization techniques, including performance tuning and resource allocation.
  • AI tooling: Curiosity and willingness to experiment with emerging AI tools and incorporate them into daily workflows to improve speed, quality and consistency of work.
  • Expert Labs Methodologies: Familiarity with Expert Labs methodologies and tools, including their application in delivering tailored solutions to clients.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
