Your role and responsibilities

As a Brand Technical Specialist for zModernization, you will act as a technical consultant to IBM clients and sellers by architecting solutions and delivering Proofs of Technology for zModernization products. In this role, you will collaborate with clients and sellers to design and implement solutions that meet their business needs. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Deliver Solution Architectures: Design and deliver solution architectures for zModernization products, including proofs of technology and demos, to help clients understand the value of IBM's zModernization offerings. • Provide Technical Consultation: Act as a technical consultant to clients and sellers, providing expert advice and guidance on zModernization products and solutions. • Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and design solutions that meet those needs, leveraging zModernization products and technologies. • Develop Proofs of Technology: Develop and deliver proofs of technology for zModernization products, demonstrating the value and capabilities of IBM's zModernization offerings. • Support Solution Delivery: Support the delivery of zModernization solutions, ensuring that they meet client requirements and are implemented successfully.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to zModernization Products: Familiarity with one or more zModernization products, such as watsonx Code Assistant for Z, zSystems Security, Z Open Automation Utilities, or other related technologies. • Technical Consulting Skills: Experience with providing technical consultation and guidance to clients and sellers on software products and solutions. • Solution Architecture Design: Knowledge of designing and delivering solution architectures for software products, including proofs of technology and demos. • Product Implementation: Experience with implementing software products and solutions to meet client business needs. • Technical Proof Development: Familiarity with developing and delivering technical proofs of concept or proofs of technology for software products.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Additional zModernization Products: Exposure to other zModernization products, such as webMethods ApplinX, Red Hat Ansible Certified Content for IBM Z, or Z Service Management Suite, is beneficial. • Advanced Technical Consulting: Experience with providing technical consultation and guidance on complex software products and solutions is a plus. • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industries that utilize mainframe technology, such as finance, healthcare, or government, is advantageous.
