In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Developer specializing in Web Content Management, you will design, develop, and support application solutions for Content Management Systems on various customer platforms. This role involves creating efficient and user-friendly CMS systems that meet business needs and are compatible with different platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design and Develop Solutions: Translate business requirements into technology solutions, creating themes, skins, templates, and workflows that meet customer needs and are compatible with different platforms. • Perform Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure the quality of the solutions, and address any troubleshooting needs that arise during the project lifecycle. • Support Application Solutions: Provide ongoing support for application solutions, ensuring they continue to meet business needs and remain compatible with evolving platforms. • Create Efficient Systems: Focus on creating efficient and user-friendly CMS systems that meet business needs, utilizing Content Management Systems such as Sitecore, Drupal, Optimizely, Wordpress, Contentful, and Bloomreach.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to Content Management Systems: Familiarity with designing, developing, and supporting application solutions for CMS on various customer platforms, including Sitecore, Drupal, Optimizely, Wordpress, Contentful, and Bloomreach. • Development Experience: Experience working with themes, skins, templates, and workflows to create efficient and user-friendly CMS systems that meet business needs and are compatible with different platforms. • Testing and Troubleshooting Skills: Exposure to unit and integration testing, with the ability to address troubleshooting needs that arise during the project lifecycle. • Platform Compatibility Knowledge: Understanding of how to ensure CMS systems remain compatible with evolving platforms and meet business needs. • Solution Design and Development: Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions, with a focus on creating efficient and user-friendly systems.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Familiarity with Multiple CMS: Exposure to multiple Content Management Systems, including Sitecore, Drupal, Optimizely, Wordpress, Contentful, and Bloomreach, is beneficial for this role. • Cross-Platform Development: Experience working with different platforms and ensuring CMS system compatibility is a plus. • Workflow and Template Design: Knowledge of creating efficient workflows and templates for CMS systems is desirable.
