Your role and responsibilities

Brand Technical Specialist, IBM Corporation, Armonk, New York and various unanticipated client sites through the US (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

  • Understand the client's business requirements, technical needs, and competitive landscape using technical/business acumen.
  • Work with the extended technical team and sales teams to deliver effective demonstrations, Proof of Concept (POC), and Proof of Technology (POT).
  • Collaborate within market, company, and business partner teams to define, design, and detail aspects of proposed integrated solutions.
  • Engage actively with clients to build trust and credibility, support technical escalations, deliver educational capability updates, and solve business problems to create an exceptional customer experience.
  • Work with business partners to supplement their existing skills, provide skills transfer, and guide them in engaging with company resources.
  • Provide customer technical support, conduct on-site health checks, coaching and mentorship.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the automation integration product portfolio.
  • Utilize: IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, Event Driven and Agile Integration Architectures, Red Hat Openshift Container Platform, Kubernetes, Containers, Microservices, IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM Cloud Pak for Applications.

Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related and two (2) years of experience as a Technical Sales Specialist or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, Event Driven and Agile Integration Architectures, Red Hat Openshift Container Platform, Kubernetes, Containers, Microservices, IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM Cloud Pak for Applications. $182700 to $215000 per year. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.


This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
