Then this internship within IBM’s Public Sector Sales team in Munich could be the perfect opportunity for you.

During your internship, you will work closely with the Sales Leader Public Sector DACH and support the team in coordinating strategic sales initiatives and client engagements. You will gain insight into how complex digital transformation programs are developed and how sales, marketing, consulting, and technology teams collaborate to deliver solutions for government clients.

As part of IBM Global Sales, you will contribute to preparing client meetings, developing sales materials, supporting customer events, and conducting market and account research within the public sector landscape. You will work in a highly collaborative environment and interact with colleagues from different IBM technology brands and business units.

Your role and responsibilities

During your internship, you will gain hands-on experience within IBM’s Public Sector Sales team and work closely with the Sales Leader Public Sector DACH. You will support the orchestration of strategic sales initiatives and help coordinate activities across different IBM teams such as Marketing, Consulting, and the various Technology brands.

Your work will include preparing sales materials and presentations for client engagements, supporting the organization of customer events and partner meetings, and assisting in the preparation of account briefings and opportunity overviews. You will also contribute to market and account research within the German public sector landscape, helping the team identify opportunities and trends related to digital transformation.

Depending on your experience and interests, you may also participate in selected client or partner meetings and support follow-ups and internal coordination. Through these activities, you will gain insight into complex enterprise sales cycles and learn how technology solutions are positioned to support government institutions in their digital transformation journeys.

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable field with an interest in the intersection of technology and business.
  • You are curious about emerging technologies such as Cloud, Data & AI, Automation, or Cybersecurity and want to understand how these innovations are applied in real-world customer environments. You enjoy communicating with different stakeholders and feel comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • A structured working style, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset are important for this role. We are looking for motivated and outgoing personalities who enjoy taking initiative and contributing to team success.
  • Very good German language skills (C1 or higher) and good English skills are required.
