Your role and responsibilities

As a Procurement Operations Professional, you will support various procurement activities and tasks that are not sourcing specific, ensuring maximum value add is attained for IBM's clients. This role involves multiple job role specialties, including business operations, policies and practices, global compliance, client services, bid management, supplier contract development, and negotiation.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Deliver Client Services: Provide exceptional client services, applying procurement business techniques to understand and satisfy client needs, promoting collaboration and alignment with IBM's procurement teams.
• Support Strategic Supply Issues: Ensure procurement activities align with the organization's goals, addressing strategic supply issues and driving business value through the utilization of cognitive tools.
• Analyze Data Sets: Analyze large data sets to enable Procurement to drive business success, utilizing root cause analysis and change management techniques to address procurement-related issues.
• Improve Procurement Processes: Adopt and apply agile techniques to improve procurement processes, driving business value and improving overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with Teams: Interface and support IBM's procurement teams, promoting collaboration and alignment to achieve shared goals.

• Exposure to Procurement Business Techniques: Experience working with procurement business techniques to understand and satisfy client needs, promoting collaboration and alignment with procurement teams.
• Analytic Skills: Exposure to utilizing cognitive tools, analyzing large data sets, and applying root cause analysis and change management techniques to drive business value and improve procurement processes.
• Contract Development and Negotiation: Experience working with supplier contract development and negotiation in support of complex services engagements.
• Global Compliance: Exposure to global compliance, policies, and practices in a procurement setting.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working with agile techniques to improve procurement processes and drive business value.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Procurement Analytics Tools: Exposure to utilizing cognitive tools and analyzing large data sets to drive business value and improve procurement processes.
• Contract Management Systems: Experience working with supplier contract development and negotiation in support of complex services engagements, with exposure to contract management systems.
• Agile Procurement Methodologies: Experience working with agile techniques to improve procurement processes and drive business value, with a focus on adapting to changing business needs.
