Your role and responsibilities

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Sales Leader Public Sector DACH in strategic and operational sales activities

  • Orchestrating internal sales initiatives across Marketing, Consulting, and Technology teams

  • Preparing executive-ready sales collateral, client presentations, and opportunity briefings

  • Supporting the organization of customer events, roundtables, and partner engagements

  • Conducting market and account research within the public sector landscape

  • Participating in customer and partner meetings; gradually taking ownership of selected engagements

  • Supporting pipeline tracking, forecasting preparation, and opportunity qualification

  • Acting as a communication interface between different IBM brands and stakeholders

This role offers exposure to enterprise sales cycles, public procurement environments, and complex digital transformation programs.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

What you bring:

  • Strong interest in technology topics such as Cloud, Data & AI, Automation, Cybersecurity, or Enterprise Infrastructure

  • Curiosity about sales strategy, client engagement, and digital transformation in the public sector

  • Confident and extroverted personality with strong communication skills

  • Structured working style and ability to manage multiple topics in parallel

  • High level of ownership and reliability

  • Analytical thinking combined with commercial awareness

  • Willingness to travel 2–3 days per week

  • Fluent German (C1 or native level) and very good English skills

Preferred technical and professional experience

Nice to have

  • Initial experience in sales, consulting, student initiatives, or customer-facing roles

  • Experience with presentation tools (PowerPoint), CRM systems, or data analysis

  • Engagement in extracurricular activities demonstrating leadership or initiative
