In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Data Engineer: Business Intelligence, you will design, build, and manage solutions using web-based BI reporting technology to provide personalized features and intuitive designs. You will integrate Business Intelligence Platforms to enable seamless toggling between reporting and analysis tasks.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and Build Solutions: Design and build web-based BI reporting solutions that offer personalized features, such as drill-down capabilities and intuitive design kits, to enhance user experience.
• Integrate BI Platforms: Integrate Business Intelligence Platforms to enable users to easily toggle between reporting and analysis tasks, promoting efficient workflow and informed decision-making.
• Develop Reports: Develop reports that can be distributed via various channels, including the web, email, portals, or file servers, ensuring flexibility and accessibility.
• Implement Dashboard Tools: Implement dashboard tools, such as Tableau, Click, and Scorecards, to create interactive and informative visualizations that support business intelligence.
• Manage Solutions: Manage and maintain BI reporting solutions to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability, leveraging expertise in Cognos, Actuate, and MicroStrategy.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to Business Intelligence: Familiarity with business intelligence concepts, tools, and technologies, including reporting, dashboards, and scorecards.
• Experience with BI Reporting Tools: Hands-on experience with web-based BI reporting technologies, such as Cognos, Actuate, and MicroStrategy.
• Knowledge of Dashboard Tools: Understanding of dashboard tools like Tableau, Click, and Scorecards, including their application in creating interactive visualizations.
• Integration Experience: Exposure to integrating Business Intelligence Platforms to enable seamless interaction between reporting and analysis tasks.
• Report Development Skills: Ability to develop reports that can be distributed via various channels, including the web, email, portals, or file servers.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Additional BI Tool Knowledge: Exposure to other business intelligence tools and technologies, such as MicroStrategy, Actuate, or Click, can be beneficial in this role.
• Advanced Dashboard Skills: Experience with creating complex dashboards and scorecards using tools like Tableau can be advantageous in developing interactive visualizations.
• Data Analysis Abilities: Familiarity with data analysis concepts and techniques can be helpful in designing and building effective BI reporting solutions.
