As a Technical Architect for the Red Hat OpenShift Platform, you will design and architect OpenShift-based solutions that meet specific business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You will have deep proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift services, including OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and related container technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design and Implement Solutions: Design and architect OpenShift-based solutions that meet specific business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This includes setting up and configuring OpenShift clusters, storage solutions, networking, and databases to effectively support various business applications. • Deploy and Manage Resources: Deploy and manage essential OpenShift resources such as projects, namespaces, and services to ensure smooth operations. Continuously monitor OpenShift environments, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations. • Ensure Security Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to ensure OpenShift resources comply with organizational policies and industry regulations. • Optimize Costs: Optimize costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage patterns. • Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of OpenShift-based solutions.
• Deep Proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift: Experience with designing and architecting OpenShift-based solutions, including OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and related container technologies. • Container Orchestration Expertise: Experience with setting up and managing container orchestration with OpenShift, enabling effective scaling and management of containerized applications. • Cloud Migration Experience: Experience with cloud migration projects, including assessment, design, and execution, with expertise in using automation tools like Ansible or OpenShift CLI. • DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and proficiency in implementing and enforcing security measures to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations. • Linux and VMware Environments: Experience working with Linux and VMware environments, with expertise in optimizing costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage patterns.
• Cloud Migration Project Management: Experience with cloud migration projects, including assessment, design, and execution, with expertise in using automation tools like Ansible or OpenShift CLI, is beneficial for this role. This expertise enables the Technical Architect to effectively plan and execute the migration of applications to the OpenShift platform. • Advanced Automation Skills: Proficiency in using automation tools like Ansible or OpenShift CLI is preferred, as it allows for efficient management and deployment of OpenShift resources. • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), is advantageous for this position, as it enables the Technical Architect to design and implement efficient and automated deployment pipelines.
