Your role and responsibilities

As a Brand Technical Specialist for Power Portfolio, you will apply your sales and product expertise to close business for IBM, often in conjunction with Business Partners. You will match IBM solutions to client requirements and sell IBM offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop and Maintain Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in a designated set of IBM offerings to effectively match solutions to client requirements and stay competitive in the market. • Sell IBM Offerings: Sell IBM Power Systems line and Cloud Platform of offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners, applying sales and product expertise to close business for IBM. • Understand Competition: Understand competition and develop appropriate winning sales strategies to stay ahead in the market. • Collaborate with Business Partners: Work in conjunction with Business Partners to close business for IBM, leveraging their expertise and network to drive sales. • Match Solutions to Client Requirements: Match IBM solutions to client requirements, ensuring effective solution delivery and meeting client needs.

• Power Systems and Cloud Platform Product Knowledge: Experience with IBM Power Systems line and Cloud Platfrom of offerings, including understanding of product features and capabilities. • Sales and Solutioning Expertise: Experience with developing and maintaining expertise in a designated set of IBM offerings to match solutions to client requirements. • Competitive Analysis: Experience with analyzing competition and developing winning sales strategies to stay ahead in the market. • Business Partner Collaboration: Experience working with Business Partners to drive sales and leverage their expertise and network. • Solution Matching: Experience with matching IBM solutions to client requirements, ensuring effective solution delivery and meeting client needs.

Preferred technical and professional experience

•• Exposure to Industry Trends: Familiarity with industry trends and developments related to Power Systems and Cloud Platform Offerings, and sales strategies. Understanding of how to leverage this knowledge to identify opportunities and stay competitive in the market. • Additional IBM Offerings Knowledge: Exposure to other IBM offerings and how they integrate with Power Systems and Cloud Platform, enabling more comprehensive solutioning and sales approaches. • Advanced Competitive Analysis: Experience with advanced competitive analysis techniques, including data-driven insights and market research, to inform winning sales strategies.
