In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Security Consultant specializing in Industrial Operation Technology Services, you will provide guidance to Client IT, OT, and Business Executives on ICS technologies, risks, and vulnerabilities. You will offer consulting services to assess current state, identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors, and perform security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Assess Client Security Posture: Assess current state of client's security posture, identifying vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors, and providing recommendations for improvement. • Perform Security Audits: Conduct security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, and identify areas for improvement. • Implement Strategic Solutions: Define business drivers and implement strategic and tactical solutions to align security measures with clients' business objectives. • Provide Consulting Services: Offer consulting services to Client IT, OT, and Business Executives on ICS technologies, risks, and vulnerabilities. • Ensure Operational Safety: Ensure the safety and efficiency of operations by addressing security concerns in industrial settings.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to ICS Technologies: Familiarity with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) technologies, including their architecture, protocols, and security risks. • Security Audit Experience: Experience performing security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, identifying vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors. • Strategic Solution Implementation: Exposure to defining business drivers and implementing strategic and tactical solutions to align security measures with business objectives. • Industrial Security Knowledge: Understanding of security concerns in industrial settings and their impact on operational safety and efficiency. • Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to ICS security, including regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• ICS Security Frameworks: Exposure to various ICS security frameworks and standards, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, IEC 62443, and API 1164, is beneficial for this role. • OT Network Architecture: Familiarity with OT network architecture and protocols, such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850, is advantageous for assessing security posture and identifying vulnerabilities. • Industrial Automation Knowledge: Understanding of industrial automation systems, including SCADA, DCS, and PLC, is desirable for providing consulting services and implementing strategic solutions.
