Introduction
We are looking for a Solution Architect to join the IBM Innovation Studio Amsterdam. A new colleague, who can help shape high‑impact client engagements that showcase the art of the possible, accelerate path‑to‑value, and strengthen IBM's position as a trusted innovation partner.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Solution Architect in the IBM Innovation Studio, you contribute with technical content and delivery during client engagements. You translate complex technology into clear business value, craft compelling demos and use‑case narratives, and ensure our studio experiences are technically robust, scalable, and aligned with strategic priorities. You will collaborate closely with Studio engagement leaders, brand and BU SMEs, and cross‑studio counterparts to bring reusable, high‑quality technical assets and content to life.
This is a studio‑based, client‑facing role, working primarily from the Amsterdam Studio.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of technical showcases, demos, and immersive experiences for clients.
- Shape and communicate clear technology‑to‑business value narratives during engagements.
- Architect and deliver PoCs/PoTs that validate solution approaches across hybrid cloud, AI, data, automation, and related technologies.
- Own, maintain and evolve the studio's technical environment, ensuring readiness and stability in line with IBM IT Security standards.
- Support Studio team members in their technical skill-build.
- Collaborate with global and local teams to introduce innovations, integrate emerging technologies, and refine best practices

- Contributing to the Studio’s technical leadership by mentoring, sharing knowledge, and integrating new tools and methods.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on expertise in Hybrid Cloud, AI, and modern infrastructure technologies.
- Proficiency in architectural thinking, experience design, and solution prototyping.
- Strong storytelling, visualization, and communication skills for mixed technical/business audiences.
- Ability to translate complex technology into clear, engaging, business‑aligned narratives.
- Demonstrated experience in client‑facing technical roles (architecture, engineering, consulting, or similar).
- Solid understanding of enterprise IT trends and competitive landscape.
- Familiarity with design thinking, agile methods, and rapid prototyping practices.
