Your role and responsibilities

As a QA (Quality Assurance) /Test Developer you will be designing better ways to identify potential weak spots, inefficiencies, and issues within software systems. This position will work closely with development teams and other testers in the implementation and delivery of software products that meet rigorous quality standards, budgets, and timelines.

You will play a key role by delivering quality functions for development teams within test driven framework. Your scope will include Test Plan Development, Test Case Execution, Automation Testing, Data Creation, API Validation and incorporating test automation in the CI/CD pipelines.

Support to legacy applications running on Z/OS environment and IBM Cloud, including closure months, helping the support team by doing tests or production setup, acting with ownership of applications if required.

Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans and execute test cases to ensure software products meet quality standards and requirements.

Automation Integration: Implement and integrate test automation into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing processes and enhance efficiency.

Collaborative Development: Work closely with development teams to identify potential weak spots, inefficiencies, and issues within software systems, fostering a collaborative approach to software quality.

Quality Assurance: Deliver quality functions for development teams, supporting test-driven development frameworks and ensuring rigorous quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.

Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, with the ability to tackle complex issues and find effective solutions. Troubleshoot production issues, incidents, does and validate tests results.

Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations logically. Assess multiple solutions and anticipate outcomes. Collaborates with cross-functional team members on story development, from before definition through final deployment. Critical thinking on relevant documentation

Required technical and professional expertise

• Be familiar with z/OS environment and IBM Cloud. Jira. SQL. Github. Test creation and management. Learning on test types (regression, functional). Documentation of test evidences and application controls. Access management. PL/I, IMS, DB2, JCL, developer and system analyst background will be a plus.
• Knowledge on IT application governance. Open source regulation.
• Fluent English
