Introduction

The Senior Project Manager for Operations & Engagement at the Lowell location serves as the senior on‑site strategic leader representing IBM Software. In this role, you will drive operational strategy, cross‑portfolio alignment, and enterprise-level engagement programs that strengthen IBM Software’s presence and effectiveness at the Lowell site. You will partner closely with senior executives, business unit leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver an optimized operating environment that advances business outcomes, enhances employee experience, and supports IBM’s broader strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end operational strategy for the Lowell site, ensuring alignment with IBM Software’s strategic, organizational, and workforce priorities.

• Serve as the primary IBM Software executive interface for Lowell operations, providing executive-ready communications, insights, and recommendations.

• Drive the design and execution of a comprehensive engagement strategy that strengthens culture, collaboration, and business integration across teams located at or visiting the site.

• Oversee strategic planning and delivery of high-impact onsite programs, including executive engagements, client experiences, cross-business showcases, technical demos, and site-wide events.

• Act as the senior operational liaison between IBM Software and Facilities, Security, HR, IT Infrastructure, and Executive Operations teams to ensure a world-class working and collaboration environment.

• Direct space management strategy, workforce capacity planning, and modernization initiatives to support evolving business demands.

• Develop and maintain operational governance frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to enable transparent, data-driven decision-making.

• Assess and mitigate operational risks, ensure compliance and readiness for audits, and strengthen site-level controls and business continuity plans.

• Identify and champion process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational innovations that enhance efficiency and reduce friction across teams.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to project contributors and cross-functional teams supporting site operations and engagement activities.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Extensive project/program management experience, including leadership of cross-functional strategic initiatives.

• Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and lead within matrixed enterprise environments.

• Strong executive communication skills and experience presenting to senior leaders/executives.

• Demonstrated ability to build operational strategy and drive execution across multiple teams or business units.

• Experience managing site or organizational operations at scale, with focus on governance, process optimization, and workforce engagement.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build dashboards, metrics, and business insights.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Prior IBM experience or deep experience in large global technology organizations.

• Background in site strategy, workforce engagement, executive briefing support, or multi-location operational leadership.

• Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile, or Lean.

• Experience leading or contributing to transformation initiatives (e.g., space modernization, operational efficiency programs, workforce/organizational redesign).

For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
