Your role and responsibilities

The Partner Marketing Acceleration Team is a global growth engine aligned to IBM’s priority client segments, expanding IBM’s market reach and driving new business through the partner ecosystem. Operating across regions, markets, and partner routes worldwide, we enable partners to move faster, scale impact, and win smarter by activating digital‑first, demand strategies.

Working in close partnership with Global Sales, we design and execute scalable partner marketing programs that connect IBM technology, partner expertise, and customer demand. Our focus spans key routes to market-including Value Added Resellers, Value Added Distributors, and hyperscaler marketplaces- to deliver measurable pipeline, revenue, and partner experience outcomes while accelerating adoption of AI-driven solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategy Development and Scalable Execution

  • Drive the global partner marketing strategy in support of IBM Partner Plus, translating ecosystem priorities into scalable, partner‑ready demand motions for priority segments.
  • Ensure strong Geo alignment, balancing global consistency with local market needs and Select Territory priorities.
  • Apply AI‑driven marketing practices (automation, predictive insights, etc) to scale demand creation and improve performance.

Partner Demand Programs, Engagement & ROI

  • Lead integrated partner programs across the marketing journey- awareness, activation, demand generation, and yield optimization- including VAD marketing, marketplace activation, and full‑funnel plays.
  • Scale repeatable playbooks and always‑on marketing engines that accelerate revenue through partners.
  • Establish ROI‑focused measurement frameworks to optimize pipeline contribution, progression, and overall yield.

Performance & Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and performance‑manage a global team, fostering accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals and data‑driven success metrics to guide prioritization and decision‑making.
  • Manage marketing investments with strong ROI discipline, operational rigor, and compliance across global programs.

Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • +10 years of experience in core marketing disciplines, including demand generation, pipeline management, partner marketing, and digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated success leading global, matrixed teams.
  • Proven ability to use data and analytics to measure performance and optimize outcomes.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, investments, and governance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with executive-level influence capability.

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Strong understanding of partner ecosystems, distributors, and multiple routes to market.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI and automation practices within marketing.
  • Experience scaling global programs while enabling regional flexibility.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
