Your role and responsibilities

As a Social Media Strategist for the IBV, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy to enhance IBM brand awareness, engage our target audience, and drive business objectives through the promotion of thought leadership content. You will work collaborate with the IBM marketing team to amplify IBV promotions and analyze performance metrics. You will understand industry trends and apply the latest technologies in pursuit of IBM’s business goals.

  1. Strategy development:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall engagement and business goals.
    • Identify target audience segments and tailor content to resonate with each group.
  2. Content creation:
    • Create engaging and shareable content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to LinkedIn and Instagram.
    • Collaborate with the IBV creative team to develop visually appealing and on-brand multimedia content.
  3. Community engagement:
    • Foster meaningful interactions with our online community through comments, messages, and discussions.
    • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, competitor activity, and relevant conversations.
  4. Analytics and reporting:
    • Use analytics tools to track and measure the performance of social media campaigns.
    • Provide regular reports on key metrics and insights, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  5. Campaign management:
    • Plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions to drive user engagement and brand loyalty.
    • Stay current on platform algorithm changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Experience with paid media platforms, paid banners, content syndication, search, social, etc.
    • Ability to manage time, resources, and budgets effectively to maximize engagement.
  6. Deep LinkedIn expertise:
    • Proven track record of creating and implementing successful LinkedIn campaigns
    • In-depth understanding of LinkedIn's features and algorithms.
    • Experience in leveraging LinkedIn for lead generation, thought leadership, and brand building.
    • Understanding of launching and managing a LinkedIn Newsletter and LinkedIn Live sessions.
  7. Expert presentation skills
    • Demonstrated ability to present ideas and concepts with confidence and authority to senior leaders.
    • Experience preparing and delivering compelling presentations that effectively communicate key messages.
    • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback for content improvement.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
