Your role and responsibilities

The Innovation Studio Technology Lead provides hands-on operational support for Innovation Studio IT environments, ensuring compliant, reliable, and well documented technology deployments. This role focuses on executing IT tasks, maintaining systems and devices fundamental to Innovation Studio engagements, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring all Innovation Studio IT assets meet governance, security, and compliance requirements.

  • Assist with deployment, configuration, and validation of IT equipment for Innovation Studio client engagements.
  • Ensure IT compliance for existing and new Innovation Studio deployments, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness.
  • Support operation, setup, and troubleshooting of Innovation Studio AV, IT, and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate device inventories, asset registration, and lifecycle records.
  • Support cataloguing, onboarding, and off-boarding of Innovation Studio IT equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams on maintenance, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain documentation, audit trails, and operational records aligned with governance requirements.
  • Track tasks and activities using collaboration and inventory tools; escalate issues when required.

This is an Innovation Studio-based role that will interface with local and global Innovation Studio team as well as technical teams (CIO) and vendors. As part of the local Innovation Studio team, you’ll play a critical role in developing and delivering compelling client experiences that in turn generate business for IBM.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Understanding of operating systems (macOS, Linux, and Windows OS)
  • Networking fundamentals.
  • Cisco device maintenance and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining technology infrastructure
  • Familiarity with IBM CIO Office standard, processes, and requirements
  • Familiarity with Wintel, RHEL, and other *nixbased systems.
  • Patching, vulnerability management, and compliance tooling.
  • Inventory, tracking, or registration systems (e.g. Jira, Monday, GitHub).
  • Knowledge of automation and configuration tools such as Ansible is a strong plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and comfort working within governance processes.
  • Clear communicator, effective in cross-team and vendor interactions.
Preferred technical and professional experience

• Transformation Project Exposure: Exposure to managing transformation projects, with a focus on accelerating time to outcomes and delivering results in fast-paced environments, would be beneficial in this role.

• Engagement Design Refining: Exposure to refining engagement designs through pilot testing and iteration would be valuable in this position.
