Your role and responsibilities
We welcome applications from undergraduate students who are required to complete an internship as part of their academic program. Have a strong interest in Treasury, Investment Management, and Risk Analysis. Are eager to apply financial knowledge in real-world settings. Are proactive, analytical, and tech-savvy.
As a Student/Intern: Generalist, you will be employed by IBM as part of your academic program or during university breaks. This role is designed for students who are looking to gain professional experience while pursuing their education.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assist with projects: You will contribute to various projects and tasks, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to different aspects of the business. This will help you develop a deeper understanding of the company's operations and goals.
- Learn from professionals: You will have the opportunity to observe and learn from experienced professionals, gaining insight into their roles and responsibilities. This will help you build your skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.
- Support teams: You will assist teams with various tasks and projects, developing your teamwork and communication skills. This will give you a chance to collaborate with others and contribute to the success of the team.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Undergraduate Students who are required to complete an Internship as part of their academic programme.
- Financially Savvy: You have a passion for Treasury, Investment Management, Operations Management and Risk Analysis and an understanding of global financial markets, FX, and liquidity management.
- Analytical Mindset: You enjoy working with financial models, analysing cash flows, and optimizing financial strategies. Proficiency in Excel, financial data analysis, and risk management tools is a plus.
- Tech-Driven: You are eager to leverage AI, automation, and digital transformation in Treasury and Retirement Fund Management. Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal or other financial tech tools is an advantage.
- Growth Minded: You are at your best when working with the best. You love mentoring and being mentored and always willing to learn new skills/technologies for you and your colleagues.

Preferred technical and professional experience
- Understanding of Treasury, FX, Liquidity, and Risk Management
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal and Excel Modelling
- Familiarity with AI, Automation, and Financial Technology
- Knowledge of Retirement Funds, Investment Strategies, and Pension Schemes
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
