Your role and responsibilities

As a Data Architect specializing in SAP HANA Data Migration, you will own Data stream activities within an SAP implementation project to ensure quality data migration. Your expertise will span SAP products such as Data Services and MDG, as well as SAP partner products and ETL tools such as Syniti ADMM and SNP Kyano. You also understand enterprise archiving strategies and you are familiar with most archiving solutions for SAP such as Information Lifecycle Management. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Data Leadership: Lead Data Migration workstream from design through cut-over, managing project team and client stakeholders.
  • Define Data Migration Strategy: identify Data Migration requirements and define comprehensive data migration strategy.
  • Data Migration Planning: develop a plan for data migration and manage development and migration activities, managing quality and deadlines within project timeline.
  • Technical Design: oversee and contribute to the functional and technical specification of data migration solutions documents to support Data Migration activities.
  • Cut-over to Production: develop cut-over strategy and plan for Data Migration activities and manage execution through rehearsal and final for Go-live.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in managing SAP Data Migrations from complex legacy systems to SAP.
  • Deep technical understanding of one or more SAP or Partner data solution such as SAP Data Services, SAP MDG, Syniti ADMM or SNP Kyano.
  • Strong business process & SAP technical knowledge augmented with Data acumen.
  • Experience with major business process and data objects for Finance Order to Cash, Materials Management and Procure to Pay.
  • Ability to work closely with Process Owners and other key stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of SAP implementation lifecycle from Prepare, Explore, Realize, Test, Deploy and Go-live.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Valid certification in one or more SAP Data or Analytics related modules
  • Understanding and experience with SAP Archiving solutions (SAP ILM, SAP ArchiveLink, SAP Content Server, OpenText xECM or JiVS IMP)
