Your role and responsibilities

As a Delivery Project Manager: Generalist, you will ensure that client needs are satisfied through the formulation, development, implementation, and delivery of application solutions in response to client requirements.

You will be responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Manage Project Plan and Budget: Develop and manage the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements to ensure successful delivery of application solutions that meet client needs.

• Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Manage efforts of IBM and client employees, as well as third-party vendors, to ensure an integrated solution is provided to meet client needs.

• Ensure Contractual Deliverables: Hold overall responsibility for cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, ensuring that client requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.

• Apply Expert Knowledge: Utilize expert-level knowledge of PM methodologies, including SEI/CMM, emerging technologies, and technical architectures, to influence client actions and provide high-quality solutions.

• Project Management Methodologies: Experience with expert-level knowledge of PM methodologies, including SEI/CMM, to develop and implement comprehensive project plans that meet client needs.

• Technical Architectures: Experience in technical architectures pertaining to the client served, enabling the development of integrated solutions that meet client requirements.

• Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Experience managing efforts of diverse teams, including IBM and client employees, as well as third-party vendors, to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Contractual Deliverables Management: Experience with overall responsibility for cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, ensuring that client requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.

• Emerging Technologies: Experience with emerging technologies, allowing for the identification of opportunities to innovate and improve solution delivery.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Advanced Technical Architectures: Experience with designing and implementing complex technical architectures, enabling the development of integrated solutions that meet client requirements. This includes expertise in evaluating and selecting technical options, developing architecture blueprints, and ensuring alignment with client needs.

• Emerging Technology Expertise: Experience with identifying and applying emerging technologies to innovate and improve solution delivery, including evaluating the feasibility of new technologies and developing strategies for implementation.

• Industry-Specific Knowledge: Experience with the specific industry or sector being served, including knowledge of relevant business processes, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
