In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a Quality Engineer specializing in Test Management, you will oversee testing for projects and applications, ensuring that client requirements are met through effective test strategies and technical execution plans. You will collaborate with teams to deliver optimized test scenarios, manage the defect cycle, and provide technical direction. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop Test Strategies: Prepare test strategies, estimate effort and time, identify dependencies, and build technical execution plans to meet client requirements. • Lead Test Scenario Development: Direct and work alongside the team to develop optimized test scenarios, create models and BDD test cases, and automate tests. • Execute Test Cases: Execute test cases, resolve technical issues, and report status to management and clients. • Manage Defect Cycle: Oversee the defect cycle, ensuring timely resolution of defects and providing technical direction to the team. • Mentor Team Members: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, sharing expertise in core testing, technical testing, and testing methodologies.
• Test Strategy Development: Exposure to developing test strategies, estimating effort and time, and identifying dependencies to meet client requirements. • Technical Test Planning: Experience working with technical execution plans, including building and executing plans to ensure effective testing. • Test Automation: Exposure to automating tests, creating models, and BDD test cases to optimize testing scenarios. • Defect Management: Experience working with defect cycles, including resolving technical issues and reporting status to management and clients. • Core Testing Methodologies: Exposure to core testing, technical testing, and testing methodologies, with the ability to share expertise with team members.
• Business Domain Knowledge: Exposure to business domain knowledge, with an understanding of how to apply this knowledge to develop effective test strategies and technical execution plans. • Excellent Team Management: Experience working with team management skills, including directing and working alongside a team to develop optimized test scenarios and managing the defect cycle. • Project Management Skills: Exposure to project management skills, including estimating effort and time, identifying dependencies, and reporting status to management and clients.
