Your role and responsibilities

The IBM Technology Expert Labs organization is looking for IBM z/OS with Security (include vault on Z) an Delivery Consultant with expertise in IBM mainframe OS,Mainframe Security,Harshicrop, middleware and language technology and products to lead and deliver pre-sales and post-sales client engagements that enable the adoption of IBM zSystems

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated a successful history of implementing vault on z/os and LinuxOne to IBM mainframe applications migration engagements, be familiar with application migration methods, can independently assess application environments, evaluate gaps between Fujitsu mainframe and IBM Z andcreate application migration solution recommendations for client environments while displaying excellent collaboration and communication with Clients, Sellers, Business Partners and Colleagues by delivering reports to clients.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering IBM IBM z/OS with Security (include vault on Z) solution design, architecture, and implementation of application migration solutions which may include:

· Administer and maintain RACF security profiles, including user IDs, groups, roles,
and protected IDs for started tasks.

· Define and manage OMVS segments for STC IDs to enable secure UNIX System Services
integration.

· Configure and customize security for z/OS subsystems (JES2/JES3, CICS, DB2, IMS)
using SAF/RACF rules.

· Perform installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of IBM Z security
components and related software.

· Conduct regular reviews of access permissions, ensuring compliance
with least‑privilege principles.

· Assist customers with IBM security software implementation and integration into

· existing environments.

· Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customer personnel
on IBM Z security practices.

· Implement and manage IBM zSecure suite for auditing, compliance reporting,
and advanced RACF administration.

· Leverage IBM zMFA (Multi‑Factor Authentication) to strengthen access controls
and enforce modern authentication standards.

· ? Integrate IBM Guardium for database activity monitoring and protection of
sensitive data across DB2 and other subsystems.

This role requires a strong knowledge of the IBM Systems Z hardware and software ecosystem,
focusing on IBM Z application environment skills. Strong z/OS, Mainframe security ,vault on
z/OS,Linux ONE, middleware
You will work with customers and IBM Sales and Business Partners to position, scope, and delivery of competitive mainframe platform migration solution offering on the IBM Z® platform,and LinuxONE. Candidates must possess a
strong background in executive consulting or technical sales and knowledge of application
migration solutions.

· z/OS Security Programming

o RACF administration: user/group management, roles, protected IDs, OMVS segment definition.

o Installation and customization of IBM Z security products.

o Basic and advanced RACF knowledge, including exits and SAF integration.

· Security Tools & Technologies

o IBM zSecure suite for auditing, compliance, and advanced RACF administration.

o IBM zMFA (Multi‑Factor Authentication) for modern access control.

o IBM Guardium for database activity monitoring and sensitive data protection.

o Knowledge of newer technologies: z/OSMF, ZOWE, Python, zCX.

· Customer Engagement

o Ability to lead customer technical workshops on IBM Z security.

o Customer‑facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, and report presentations.

o Fluent in English for global collaboration.

· Additional Technical Skills

o HashiCorp Vault: secrets management, credential rotation, API integration with IBM Z workloads.

o HashiCorp Consul/Terraform: secure service discovery, infrastructure automation, and policy‑driven deployments.

o z/VM system programming with RACF/DirMaint security.

· English: Fluent
