We’re hiring a Brand Technical Specialist – DevOps in Poland to help customers modernize delivery pipelines, improve reliability, and optimize cloud costs using IBM’s DevOps, Observability, and FinOps portfolio.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering + business outcomes: you’ll translate real customer challenges (speed, reliability, governance, cost) into practical architectures, run demos, co-create solutions with clients and partners, and support strategic opportunities with strong technical credibility.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Brand Technical Specialist – DevOps, you will:

  • Showcase and demonstrate IBM’s DevOps, Observability, and FinOps capabilities—helping clients automate and govern infrastructure delivery (e.g., Terraform), gain real-time visibility into application performance and user experience (e.g., Instana), streamline operational insights and remediation workflows (e.g., Concert), improve cloud cost transparency and optimization across teams and clusters (e.g., Kubecost), and manage cloud spend allocation, budgeting, and optimization at scale (e.g., Apptio Cloudability)
  • Help customers design and validate solutions across Infrastructure as Code, application observability, automation, cloud cost optimization, and governance
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and partners—shaping technical strategy, guiding solution design, and supporting proof-of-value / proof-of-concept activities
  • Build reusable assets such as demos, reference architectures, workshop materials, and accelerators
  • Enable the partner ecosystem by improving partners’ technical readiness to position, demonstrate, and deploy IBM technology at scale
  • Collaborate with IBM technical communities to share knowledge, stay current, and continuously improve delivery quality

We welcome candidates at different stages of their career. Prior experience is a plus, but we also value strong potential, curiosity, and the ability to learn fast.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A strong interest in DevOps / platform engineering / SRE / cloud operations
  • Experience or solid familiarity with at least some of the following:
  • CI/CD and Git-based workflows
  • Containers and Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Cloud platforms and core infrastructure concepts (networking, compute, storage)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible knowledge is a strong advantage)
  • Observability basics: metrics, traces, logs, and a production troubleshooting mindset
  • FinOps fundamentals: cost visibility, allocation, optimization, and accountability
  • Ability to read and explain technical material (configurations, scripts, pipelines, architecture diagrams)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting to different audiences (engineers, architects, leadership)
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving environment
  • Fluency in English and Polish

Nice to have (not required):

  • Experience with Terraform, Instana, Concert, Kubecost, Netcool or Apptio Cloudability
  • Exposure to AIOps and incident/problem management practices
  • Knowledge of application platforms (e.g., WebSphere) and runtime operations patterns
