Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an innovative and collaborative Quality Engineer - Open Source to design, develop, and maintain applications using open-source technologies. In this role, you will leverage open-source frameworks, libraries, and tools to build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by adopting open-source best practices, exploring new technologies, and, when possible, contributing back to the open-source community.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Proficiency in open-source programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, Go, or PHP.
Experience with open-source frameworks such as Node.js, React, Angular, Vue, Django, Flask, Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, or others.
Strong understanding of databases:
SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
Hands-on experience with Linux environments, shell scripting, and open-source operating systems.
Familiarity with open-source tools for CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Good understanding of version control using Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus, especially with open-source compatible stacks.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Proficiency in Agile Methodologies: Exposure to agile development methodologies and version control systems to enhance collaboration and testing efficiency. • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and platforms to expand testing capabilities and stay up-to-date with industry trends. • Experience with DevOps Tools: Exposure to DevOps tools and practices to improve testing automation, deployment, and delivery of high-quality software.
