Your role and responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for the Accounts Payable processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work and providing sound management information and interpretation. You will maintain high standards of financial control, analyzing and interpreting financial data, and applying knowledge of accounting theory, tax rules, and corporate policies, practices, and procedures.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Process Invoices: Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, from reception to payment, while maintaining high sensitivity to control fundamentals and posture for the organization.
  • Analyze Financial Data: Interpret and analyze financial data to provide sound management information, identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes to standards and procedures.
  • Implement Corporate Disbursements: Interpret and implement corporate disbursements instructions and control procedures, relative to both internal and external requirements.
  • Maintain Financial Control: Ensure high standards of financial control, adhering to corporate policies, practices, and procedures, and identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate System Changes: Identify and coordinate system change requirements to meet emerging business needs, formulating procedures to address emerging issues not covered under existing standard practices/policies.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish or Italian
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to translate business requirements into Procurement operations or specifications with best value and customer service in mind

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Exposure to Accounting Theory: Knowledge of accounting principles, tax rules, and corporate policies, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate financial data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience Working with Financial Systems: Familiarity with financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Understanding of Financial Control Fundamentals: Exposure to financial control principles to maintain high standards of financial control and identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to provide sound management information and recommend changes to standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Corporate Disbursements: Understanding of corporate disbursements instructions and control procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Financial Data Analysis Tools: Exposure to financial data analysis tools and software to analyze and interpret financial data, providing sound management information and recommending changes to standards and procedures.
  • Advanced Accounting Principles: Experience working with advanced accounting principles, including tax rules and corporate policies, to ensure accurate financial data analysis and interpretation.
  • Financial System Implementation: Exposure to implementing financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
