In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Developer: Full Stack, you will work with a team responsible for every aspect of the software development cycle, from design to deployment. You will participate in software/architectural design decisions, help define and optimize the team's development workflow, and ensure code quality. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Participate in Software Design: Collaborate with development teams and delivery lead to ideate software solutions, design user-side and server-side architecture, and create visually appealing front-end applications.

• Develop and Manage Applications: Build and manage well-functioning databases and applications, ensuring security and data protection, and test software for responsiveness and efficiency.

• Troubleshoot and Upgrade Software: Identify and resolve issues, debug and upgrade software, and create security and data protection settings.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists: Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software, and write effective APIs and technical documentation.

• Build Mobile Responsive Features: Develop features and applications with a mobile responsive design, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Required education

High School Diploma/GED

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to Full-Stack Development: Familiarity with front-end development, web development, back-end development, and system administration concepts.

• Basic Understanding of Software Development Cycle: Knowledge of software architectural design, data integration, and software deployment using continuous integration tools.

• Interest in Web Application Development: Understanding of building highly interactive web applications and ensuring high availability.

• Curiosity about Database Management: Familiarity with database concepts and data protection principles.

• Basic Understanding of Security and Data Protection: Awareness of security and data protection best practices in software development.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Exposure to agile development practices and version control systems is beneficial for this role.

• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: Basic understanding of cloud-based technologies and platforms is a plus.

• Interest in DevOps Practices: Curiosity about DevOps practices and continuous integration tools is advantageous.
