In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a Quality Engineer specializing in SAP Automation, you will test applications and systems implemented using SAP. Your focus will be on developing test scenarios and test cases to verify that the system meets the requirements, with an emphasis on automating functional testing. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop Test Scenarios and Cases: Create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases to ensure the system is built according to requirements, utilizing your knowledge of SAP business processes to inform your testing approach. • Execute Test Cases: Perform test case execution to validate system functionality, identifying and reporting defects as needed to ensure the system meets the required standards. • Automate Functional Testing: Focus on automating functional testing of applications, leveraging your understanding of SAP business processes to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness. • Apply SAP Business Process Knowledge: Utilize your knowledge of SAP business processes to perform SAP testing, with the depth of knowledge required varying depending on the specific service being delivered.
• SAP Testing Exposure: Experience working with SAP applications and systems, with a focus on testing and quality assurance. Familiarity with SAP business processes and their application in testing scenarios. • Test Scenario Development: Exposure to developing comprehensive test scenarios and test cases to ensure system functionality meets requirements. • Automation Testing Skills: Experience working with automation testing tools and methodologies, with a focus on functional testing of SAP applications. • SAP Business Process Knowledge: Experience working with SAP business processes, with a deep understanding of their application in testing and quality assurance. • Defect Identification: Exposure to identifying and reporting defects in system functionality, with a focus on ensuring system meets required standards.
• SAP Module Knowledge: Exposure to various SAP modules, such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and HR, can be beneficial in understanding the business processes and developing effective test scenarios. • Test Automation Frameworks: Familiarity with test automation frameworks, such as Selenium or QTP, can be advantageous in automating functional testing of SAP applications. • Agile Methodologies: Exposure to agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, can be helpful in adapting to changing requirements and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
