Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Test Automation Developer/Architect to join our Quality Engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on person with deep experience in designing, building, and evolving test automation frameworks and test automation suites for enterprise Cloud business applications. The successful candidate will play a critical role in understanding and enhancing IBM’s in-house test automation frameworks built for Oracle Fusion Cloud SaaS applications, while contributing to test automation services delivery across multiple Oracle Cloud implementation and support projects.

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain scalable automated regression testing suites using IBM’s internal test automation frameworks across Oracle Fusion Cloud applications implementation and support projects.
  • Gain deep understanding of existing in-house test automation frameworks for Oracle Fusion Cloud applications and actively contribute to their feature enhancements, ongoing support and maintenance activities.
  • Manage and support virtual test automation environments and infrastructure, including administration of AWS-hosted test labs.
  • Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and drive timely resolution across systems, environments, and integrations.
  • Communicate automation progress, test execution status, and defect metrics through Test ALM dashboards, ensuring visibility for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore test automation teams to optimize resource utilization, ensure consistency, and maximize test coverage.
  • Develop proof-of-concept (POC) automation solutions for cloud applications based on customer use cases and evolving business needs.
  • Partner with delivery and practice leadership to provide input on testing best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and methodology refinement.
  • Ensure QA team members have access to required tools, frameworks, environments, and training to maintain productivity and adherence to standards.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test cases and automated scripts for end-to-end validation.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for test plans, test cases, automation frameworks, utilities, and reusable components.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering for enterprise Cloud and Web business applications.
  • Proven expertise in test automation for Cloud-based business applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, CRM, or analytics platforms).
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying automation frameworks using industry-leading tools.
  • Strong knowledge of framework design methodologies (Keyword, Hybrid, Page Object Model).
  • Advanced proficiency in Core Java, Selenium, and Eclipse IDE.
  • Familiarity with enterprise Cloud business applications such as Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, or SAP.
  • In-depth understanding of testing methodologies, test processes, and full project implementation lifecycles.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause identification and resolution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across global QA and delivery teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Innovative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience managing test infrastructure on Cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
