As a Business Transformation Consultant specializing in Warehouse & Logistics, you will lead end-to-end warehouse transformation initiatives leveraging Tier 1 WMS Software to modernize distribution operations and enable scalable, high-performance fulfillment networks. This role focuses on delivering warehouse operating model transformation across people, process, and technology—driving measurable improvements in service, cost, and productivity.
You will work directly with client operations, IT, and executive stakeholders to translate business strategy into WMS-enabled warehouse execution capabilities, supporting greenfield and brownfield implementations, network redesign, and automation integration.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Warehouse Transformation Programs: Lead warehouse transformation projects utilizing tier 1 Warehouse Management Software, including future-state operating model design, WMS configuration strategy, and deployment across distribution centers.
Assess Current-State Warehouse Operations: Analyze inbound, outbound, storage, picking, packing, value-added services, and labor workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Design Future-State DC Processes: Define WMS-aligned warehouse processes including receiving, putaway, replenishment, wave/waveless picking, cartonization, packing, shipping, and returns—ensuring alignment with fulfillment strategy and automation capabilities.
Drive MAWM Enablement: Translate operational requirements into WMS functional designs, partnering with technical teams on integrations with host ERP (SAP/Oracle), TMS, parcel execution, and material handling systems.
Lead Process & Change Adoption: Facilitate workshops, develop SOPs, and support change management to ensure successful adoption of new warehouse processes and systems by operations teams.
Enable Automation & Advanced Fulfillment: Support integration of AMRs, AS/RS, sortation, and goods-to-person systems into MAWM-driven workflows to improve throughput, accuracy, and labor efficiency.
Optimize Warehouse Performance: Develop strategies to improve productivity, reduce operating costs, increase inventory accuracy, and enhance order fulfillment SLAs using MAWM capabilities and best-practice DC design.
Collaborate Across Stakeholders: Partner with warehouse operations, IT, engineering, and executive leadership to align business objectives with WMS implementation outcomes and ensure seamless delivery.
Drive Measurable Business Outcomes: Deliver operational KPIs including labor productivity, order cycle time, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and customer service improvements.
This role can be performed anywhere in the U.S.
Tier 1 Design & Implementation (4+ Years)
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Tier 1 WMS Software (Manhattan, Blue Yonder SAP) , including functional design, configuration strategy, testing support, and multi-site deployment.
Warehouse Transformation Delivery
Proven ability to lead end-to-end distribution center transformation initiatives, from current-state assessment through future-state operating model design and WMS-enabled execution.
Warehouse Operations & Process Design
Deep practical understanding of DC workflows (receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns) with the ability to design scalable, high-performance warehouse operating models.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
Strong ability to partner with operations, IT, engineering, and leadership teams to align business objectives with warehouse execution capabilities and ensure successful delivery.
Process Improvement & Performance Optimization
Demonstrated success driving measurable improvements in productivity, operating cost, inventory accuracy, and fulfillment SLAs through structured warehouse process improvement.
Change Enablement & Workshop Facilitation
Experience leading process mapping workshops, developing SOPs, and supporting operational change adoption for new warehouse systems and processes.
Automation Integration Experience
Exposure to AMRs, AS/RS, goods-to-person, sortation, and conveyor systems integrated into Tier 1 WMS-driven fulfillment environments.
Systems Integration Knowledge
Experience supporting MAWM integrations with ERP (SAP/Oracle), TMS, parcel execution platforms, and material handling control systems.
Greenfield & Brownfield DC Implementations
Background in new facility startups, retrofits, migrations, and multi-site Tier 1 WMS rollouts including cutover planning and hyper care stabilization.
Warehouse Engineering Fundamentals
Understanding of slotting strategy, layout optimization, capacity modeling, labor standards, and space utilization.
Data-Driven Operations Analysis
Strong analytical skills in throughput modeling, labor analysis, and operational KPI development.
Program & Delivery Management
Experience managing complex warehouse transformation timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables in client-facing environments.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
