As a Business Transformation Consultant specializing in Warehouse & Logistics, you will lead end-to-end warehouse transformation initiatives leveraging Manhattan Associates MAWM to modernize distribution operations and enable scalable, high-performance fulfillment networks. This role focuses on delivering warehouse operating model transformation across people, process, and technology—driving measurable improvements in service, cost, and productivity.
You will work directly with client operations, IT, and executive stakeholders to translate business strategy into MAWM-enabled warehouse execution capabilities, supporting greenfield and brownfield implementations, network redesign, and automation integration.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Warehouse Transformation Programs: Lead warehouse transformation projects utilizing Manhattan Associates MAWM, including future-state operating model design, WMS configuration strategy, and deployment across distribution centers.
Assess Current-State Warehouse Operations: Analyze inbound, outbound, storage, picking, packing, value-added services, and labor workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Design Future-State DC Processes: Define MAWM-aligned warehouse processes including receiving, putaway, replenishment, wave/waveless picking, cartonization, packing, shipping, and returns—ensuring alignment with fulfillment strategy and automation capabilities.
Drive MAWM Enablement: Translate operational requirements into MAWM functional designs, partnering with technical teams on integrations with host ERP (SAP/Oracle), TMS, parcel execution, and material handling systems.
Lead Process & Change Adoption: Facilitate workshops, develop SOPs, and support change management to ensure successful adoption of new warehouse processes and systems by operations teams.
Enable Automation & Advanced Fulfillment: Support integration of AMRs, AS/RS, sortation, and goods-to-person systems into MAWM-driven workflows to improve throughput, accuracy, and labor efficiency.
Optimize Warehouse Performance: Develop strategies to improve productivity, reduce operating costs, increase inventory accuracy, and enhance order fulfillment SLAs using MAWM capabilities and best-practice DC design.
Collaborate Across Stakeholders: Partner with warehouse operations, IT, engineering, and executive leadership to align business objectives with MAWM implementation outcomes and ensure seamless delivery.
Drive Measurable Business Outcomes: Deliver operational KPIs including labor productivity, order cycle time, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and customer service improvements.
This role can be performed anywhere in the U.S.
Deep operational understanding of distribution center workflows including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking (wave and waveless), packing, shipping, returns, and value-added services.
Demonstrated experience designing future-state warehouse operating models aligned to WMS capabilities, fulfillment strategy, and automation readiness.
Strong background in warehouse process engineering, layout optimization, slotting strategy, and labor productivity improvement.
Experience supporting greenfield and brownfield distribution center implementations, including cutover planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare stabilization.
Proven ability to translate operational requirements into functional WMS designs and collaborate effectively with technical architects on integrations with ERP (SAP/Oracle), TMS, parcel execution platforms, and material handling equipment.
Practical experience integrating automation technologies such as AMRs, AS/RS, goods-to-person, sortation, and conveyor systems into WMS-driven fulfillment operations.
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to assess throughput, capacity, labor standards, space utilization, and service levels to drive data-backed recommendations.
Strong workshop facilitation capabilities for process mapping, requirements definition, and stakeholder alignment across operations, IT, and engineering teams

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
