A career in IBM Consulting is built on long-term client relationships and close collaboration worldwide. You’ll work with leading companies across industries, helping them shape their hybrid cloud and AI journeys. With support from our strategic partners, robust IBM technology, and Red Hat, you’ll have the tools to drive meaningful change and accelerate client impact. At IBM Consulting, curiosity fuels success. You’ll be encouraged to challenge the norm, explore new ideas, and create innovative solutions that deliver real results. Our culture of growth and empathy focuses on your long-term career development while valuing your unique skills and experiences.

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Business Transformation Consultant you will serve as a client-facing practitioner who sells, leads and implements expert services utilizing the breadth of IBM's offerings and technologies. A successful Consultant is regarded by clients as a trusted business advisor who collaborates to provide innovative solutions used to solve the most challenging business problems.

You will work on projects that help clients integrate strategy, process, technology, and information to increase effectiveness, reduce costs and improve profit and shareholder value. You can take advantage of opportunities to master new skills, work across different disciplines, move into new challenges and develop a robust understanding of different industries.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Proposal Development: Identify business drivers and goals and develop compelling proposals and value-driven business cases to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Requirements Analysis and Specifications Design: Translate client's business needs into business requirements and participate in the production of detailed design and technical specifications.
  • Future-Ready Architecture Planning: Understand the requirements, current architecture state of the enterprise and create roadmaps for future enhancements accordingly.

Responsible for participating in the execution of change management initiatives within digital, technological or organisational transformation projects, supporting the effective adoption of new processes, technologies and ways of working — collaborating with change leaders, project teams and business stakeholders to analyse organisational impacts — and contributing to the design and implementation of communication, engagement and adoption plans aligned with the programme's objectives.

The role includes conducting impact analyses and stakeholder mapping — developing and deploying communication and engagement plans — supporting training and adoption initiatives — measuring adoption and change effectiveness through metrics and KPIs — and collaborating continuously with multidisciplinary teams in agile or hybrid environments, operating effectively in ambiguous and high-pressure contexts.

Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

Experience in change management, organisational change management (OCM) or transformation consulting is required, with participation in digital, technological or organisational transformation projects, and practical experience in impact analysis, stakeholder management and the implementation of communication and adoption plans. Certifications or formal training in change management are valued.

Additionally, knowledge of agile or hybrid methodologies — experience in data-driven adoption measurement and change management — and strong facilitation, storytelling and executive communication skills are expected. The ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and thrive in complex environments is key to success in the role.
