In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Package Consultant specializing in SAP Application Extensions, you will assist customers in selecting, designing, and implementing SAP applications using innovative approaches such as clean core development. This requires specialized skills in areas like In-App extension, OData, and API Management, as well as strong consulting abilities to collaborate with customers and stakeholders. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Implement SAP Applications: Design and implement SAP applications using clean core development methodologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and meeting customer requirements. • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with customers, application stakeholders, and other consultants to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions that meet their expectations. • Develop Custom Solutions: Design and develop custom applications using Side by Side application design and development, RAP programming, and embedded Steampunk, leveraging expertise in Complex CDS view design. • Provide Consulting Expertise: Offer expert guidance and support to customers, helping them navigate the selection and implementation of SAP applications and related technologies. • Deliver Solution Delivery: Ensure timely and effective delivery of solutions, meeting customer needs and expectations while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to SAP Application Development: Experience working with SAP applications, including design, implementation, and integration with existing systems. • In-App Extension and API Management: Familiarity with In-App extension, OData, and API Management, with ability to apply these skills in a consulting context. • Complex CDS View Design: Understanding of Complex CDS view design principles and ability to apply them in custom application development. • Side by Side Application Development: Experience with Side by Side application design and development, RAP programming, and embedded Steampunk. • Consulting and Collaboration: Exposure to consulting environments, working closely with customers, stakeholders, and other consultants to deliver tailored solutions.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Advanced SAP Application Knowledge: Exposure to SAP application development, including design, implementation, and integration with existing systems, is beneficial for this role. Familiarity with SAP's latest technologies and trends would be an asset. • Specialized Technical Skills: Knowledge of specialized skills like In-App extension, OData, API Management, Complex CDS view design, Side by Side application design and development, RAP programming, and embedded Steampunk would be advantageous in delivering high-quality solutions. • Consulting Expertise: Prior experience working in a consulting environment, collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and other consultants to deliver tailored solutions, would be valuable in this position.
