Your role and responsibilities
The Air Force Training and Operations SME will support Air Force Civil Engineering by building relationships and collaborating with AF and DoD functional experts, senior leadership, and stakeholders to drive progress on important pressing Civil Engineering initiatives. They will also manage engineer design projects, planning and programming initiatives and site visits.

As a Business Transformation Consultant, you will serve as a business analyst supporting transformation engagements shaped or orchestrated with the support of Enterprise Strategy. You will play a key role in researching industry best practices and key change drivers impacting enterprises within that industry.
Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct Industry Research: Research industry best practices and key change drivers impacting enterprises within that industry, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and insights that inform business transformation strategies.
  • Gather and Analyze Data: Assist with the gathering and synthesis of key operational and performance data pertaining to the client's enterprise, providing valuable insights that inform strategic recommendations.
  • Document Processes: Document as-is processes and operating models, helping to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Inform Strategic Engagements: Help with recommendation formulation and visualization in support of strategic engagements that guide business transformation, leveraging your analytical skills to drive meaningful change.
  • Perform Business Analysis: Perform business, process, technology, product, pricing, policy, and/or governance research and analysis, including value assessment and orchestration, to drive informed decision-making.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Former engineer with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience supporting engineering, infrastructure, or construction-related programs.
  • Proven ability to analyze and synthesize complex technical and operational processes to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strong project and program management experience, including cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Extensive experience in engineering and construction management environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly translate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

    Security Requirement:
    Must hold and maintain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineer career fields and mission, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Experience executing planning, programming, and site surveys in support of Air Force Civil Engineer programs.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
